Y lo hizo en medio del intenso tr\u00e1fico que caracterizaba a la ciudad de los rascacielos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La responsable de aquel ins\u00f3lito acontecimiento fue la empresa Houdina Radio Control, que utiliz\u00f3 un veh\u00edculo de la marca Chandler \u2013al que llam\u00f3 Maravilla Americana\u2013 <strong>movido gracias a un sistema de radiocontrol: segu\u00eda las \u00f3rdenes que llegaban a su antena<\/strong> y que le enviaba el coche que iba detr\u00e1s. \u00c9se fue el punto de partida de los coches aut\u00f3nomos, que al comienzo se basaron en el radiocontrol. As\u00ed, el autom\u00f3vil robotizado construido por Ernst Dickmanns, de la Universidad de M\u00fanich, estaba controlado por una c\u00e1mara que procesaba las im\u00e1genes para dirigir el veh\u00edculo. Mientras tanto, en Estados Unidos, la agencia DARPA, del Departamento de Defensa, cre\u00f3 el primer veh\u00edculo que funcionaba con radar l\u00e1ser y visi\u00f3n computerizada. As\u00ed, por ejemplo, el sistema Emergency Assist registra la falta de actividad del conductor y puede dirigir el veh\u00edculo al carril derecho y detenerlo all\u00ed, mientras que el sistema de mantenimiento de carril Lane Assist te alertar\u00e1 si abandonas el carril por error.
