Lo que demuestra que est\u00e1n por un lado a punto para plantarle cara a AMD Zen 4 y por el otro de mostrar la potencia de su nodo de 7 nm SuperFin. \u00bfQu\u00e9 significa este anuncio por parte de Intel a futuro?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los fabricantes de los diferentes tipos de procesadores, ya sean CPUs, GPUs o de cualquier otro tipo, han de tener sus dise\u00f1os ya terminados antes de su fabricaci\u00f3n en masa. No solo de cara a la validaci\u00f3n del dise\u00f1o, sino tambi\u00e9n para ver que no haya fallos que puedan lastrar la fabricaci\u00f3n en masa. Es por ello que no nos deber\u00eda sorprender que Intel haya anunciado que tiene terminado Meteor Lake-S, la primera de sus arquitecturas de CPU basadas en su pr\u00f3ximo nodo de 7 nm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>El dise\u00f1o del Compute Tile de Meteor Lake-S finalizado<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Great way to start the week! Esto lo hemos podido saber a trav\u00e9s de un tweet de Gregory M Bryant donde anuncia el final del dise\u00f1o y felicita al equipo de dise\u00f1o del procesador.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hay que aclarar que pese a que estamos hablando del sucesor de Alder Lake no hablamos de la Gen 13, sino posiblemente de la Gen 14, ya que sabemos que existe Raptor Lake en el mapa de ruta, el cual es una versi\u00f3n mejorada de Alder Lake que ser\u00e1 lanzada a los pocos meses de la Gen 12.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tambi\u00e9n tenemos que dejar claro que desconocemos por el momento si Raptor Lake ser\u00e1 la Gen 13 o no. Lo importante con el anuncio de Intel es que ellos&nbsp;<strong>ya tienen el dise\u00f1o de Meteor Lake-S finalizado.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>El futuro de las CPU de Intel para por EMIB y Foveros<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hardzone.es\/app\/uploads-hardzone.es\/2021\/03\/Pat-Gelsinger-Intel-Meteor-Lake-7-nm.jpg\" alt=\"Pat Gelsinger 7 nm Intel\" class=\"wp-image-589645\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Lo primero que os vendr\u00e1 a la mente es la siguiente pregunta: \u00bfqu\u00e9 es un tile? Pues es el significante que le da Intel a lo que AMD llama chiplets en su argot. Y es que la idea de Intel con Meteor Lake-S es la de abandonar los dise\u00f1os monol\u00edticos basados en un solo nodo com\u00fan para adoptar un dise\u00f1o similar al de AMD, pero utilizando tecnolog\u00edas de empaquetado propias de Intel como son EMIB y Foveros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La idea no deja de ser la misma que AMD ha adoptado desde Zen 2, la cual se basa en el concepto de crear un procesador con varios chips, solo que Intel utiliza el t\u00e9rmino tile y AMD&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/hardzone.es\/tutoriales\/rendimiento\/chiplets-ventaja-problema-cpu\/\">el t\u00e9rmino chiplet<\/a>. La ventaja de esto es que permite utilizar varios nodos de fabricaci\u00f3n distintos para un mismo dise\u00f1o, lo que tiene enormes ventajas de cara a la manufactura en masa de dichos procesadores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El Compute Tile ser\u00eda por tanto el equivalente de Intel al Chiplet CCD de AMD, pero en Intel. En todo caso no ser\u00eda la primera vez que Intel hace un dise\u00f1o de este tipo, ya lo vimos en Lakefield con el uso de Foveros.
