{"id":29063,"date":"2021-05-27T10:12:40","date_gmt":"2021-05-27T16:12:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/goldenti.com\/site\/?p=29063"},"modified":"2021-05-27T10:12:42","modified_gmt":"2021-05-27T16:12:42","slug":"amd-destroza-a-intel-en-sus-nuevas-cpus-para-servidor-zen-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/goldenti.com\/site\/amd-destroza-a-intel-en-sus-nuevas-cpus-para-servidor-zen-4\/","title":{"rendered":"AMD destroza a Intel en sus nuevas CPUs para servidor Zen 4"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hardzone.es\/app\/uploads-hardzone.es\/2021\/04\/AMD-EPYC-Milan.jpg\" alt=\"AMD-EPYC-Milan\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Desde hace tiempo que sabemos que AMD va a romper la barrera de los 64 n\u00facleos en sus CPU para servidores AMD EPYC con Zen 4, pero los \u00faltimos rumores que han aparecido nos han dado una cifra mucho m\u00e1s alta de la que se esperaba inicialmente. \u00bfQu\u00e9 dicen estos rumores sobre la cantidad de n\u00facleos en AMD EPYC Genoa y como de espectacular ser\u00e1 el salto desde AMD EPYC Milan?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lo hemos dicho muchas veces, el salto a la DDR5 en combinaci\u00f3n con PCI Express 5.0 requieren cambios profundos en la circuiter\u00eda interna de las nuevas CPU, estos significa la actualizaci\u00f3n por un lado de toda la circuiter\u00eda dedicada a la comunicaci\u00f3n con la memoria por un lado y la de los perif\u00e9ricos por otra. Lo que de paso lleva a la adopci\u00f3n de nuevos sockets y chipsets tanto por parte de Intel como por parte de AMD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\u00bfCu\u00e1ntos n\u00facleos tendr\u00e1 AMD EPYC Genoa?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hardzone.es\/app\/uploads-hardzone.es\/2021\/05\/Genoa-128-cores.jpg\" alt=\"AMD Epyc Genoa Mockup 128 n\u00facleos\" class=\"wp-image-614379\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>La informaci\u00f3n no es oficial de AMD, sino que viene de AdoredTV. \u00bfLo que sabemos de AMD EPYC Genoa hasta el momento? Oficialmente que saldr\u00e1 en el 2022 bajo el nombre comercial de AMD EPYC 7004 si miramos el mapa de ruta de la propia AMD que se filtr\u00f3 hace unos d\u00edas, adem\u00e1s de la confirmaci\u00f3n de que tendr\u00e1 m\u00e1s de 64 n\u00facleos, por lo que AMD romper\u00e1 dicha barrera<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hardzone.es\/app\/uploads-hardzone.es\/2021\/05\/AMD-Genoa-Conflicto-Nucleos.jpg\" alt=\"AMD Genoa conflicto n\u00facleos\" class=\"wp-image-614382\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00bfLa nueva informaci\u00f3n? Pues tenemos dos fuentes contradictorias, por un lado el insider Executable Fix habla de una configuraci\u00f3n con 96 n\u00facleos, mientras que&nbsp;<strong>AdoredTV afirma que la cantidad de n\u00facleos podr\u00eda ir hasta los 128<\/strong>. Por el momento no sabemos cu\u00e1l de los dos tiene la raz\u00f3n y ser\u00e1 AMD la que tenga la \u00faltima palabra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Por el momento en la gama AMD EPYC la cantidad de canales de memoria ha sido siempre proporcional a la cantidad de chiplets CCD, tanto en Zen 2 como en Zen 3. No podemos olvidar que la DDR5 es una memoria de doble canal y los famosos 8 canales de memoria DDR4 son 16 canales en DDR5, de ah\u00ed posiblemente lo de los 128 n\u00facleos que afirma AdoredTV. Pero hemos de tener en cuenta que&nbsp;<strong>la informaci\u00f3n habla de 12 canales de memoria DDR5 y no 16.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No olvidemos que la coincidencia entre el n\u00famero de canales de la RAM y la cantidad de CCD Chiplets en los actuales AMD EPYC no es m\u00e1s que una casualidad, por lo que no se debe confundir como causalidad para el n\u00famero de n\u00facleos de estos procesadores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\u00bfQu\u00e9 otras novedades traer\u00e1 AMD EPYC Genoa?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hardzone.es\/app\/uploads-hardzone.es\/2021\/02\/Zen4-Logo-Falso.jpg\" alt=\"Zen 4 Logo Falso\" class=\"wp-image-562906\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>La m\u00e1s importante es la adopci\u00f3n de Zen 4, la cual vendr\u00e1 en chiplets CCD como Zen 2 y Zen 3 pero&nbsp;<strong>construidos bajo el nodo de 5 nm de TSMC<\/strong>&nbsp;y con la arquitectura mejorada para&nbsp;<strong>ofrecer&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/hardzone.es\/tutoriales\/rendimiento\/ipc-nucleos-hibridos\/\">incrementos en el IPC<\/a>&nbsp;por encima del 20%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00bfOtro cambio importante en Zen 4?&nbsp;<strong>La adopci\u00f3n del<\/strong><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/hardzone.es\/tutoriales\/rendimiento\/avx-512\/\">&nbsp;conjunto de instrucciones AVX-512<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;que hasta el momento son exclusivas de Intel y han resultado clave para ciertos contratos para este tipo de procesadores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El \u00fanico cambio que no vamos a ver es en cuanto al n\u00famero de n\u00facleos. que&nbsp;<strong>continuar\u00e1 siendo de 8 por CCD Chiplet<\/strong>, por lo que el paso a los 5 nm no se utilizar\u00e1 para aumentar el n\u00famero de n\u00facleos, sino para mejorar estos. En cuanto a la adopci\u00f3n de una arquitectura mixta al estilo de las CPU con ISA ARM de la actualidad o los inminentes Alder Lake de Intel tendremos que esperar hasta Zen
