La realidad es que no hab\u00eda demasiada informaci\u00f3n disponible, pero ahora se ha desvelado una peque\u00f1a parte de esta 3D Cach\u00e9 de AMD, la cual impulsar\u00e1 sin duda el rendimiento hasta tal punto que superar\u00e1 a Intel en su sector fetiche: el gaming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lo que est\u00e1n haciendo tanto AMD como TSMC es muy impresionante, quiz\u00e1s no al nivel de Intel con Foveros (de momento) pero lo que es seguro es que aunque tecnol\u00f3gicamente no est\u00e9n por ahora a la altura, en rendimiento s\u00ed que se van a posicionar l\u00edderes (salvo sorpresa con Alder Lake-S).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">AMD Zen 3 3D Cach\u00e9, un salto de rendimiento del 15% en gaming<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"AMD at Computex 2021\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/gqAYMx34euU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Los n\u00fameros deslizados por Lisa Su dan como resultado promedio dicha cifra, pero ahora conocemos las curiosidades de los porqu\u00e9s. Y es que el a\u00f1adir un chip vertical m\u00e1s a modo de cach\u00e9 aumentada no ser\u00e1, como se estaba especulando, una cach\u00e9 de nivel 4, o dicho de otro modo, no ser\u00e1 la t\u00edpica Victim Cach\u00e9 t\u00e9cnicamente hablando.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Todo es bastante m\u00e1s simple desde la teor\u00eda, pero desde la pr\u00e1ctica los n\u00fameros son abrumadores y nos explicamos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lo que AMD consigue con esta cach\u00e9 vertical es que Windows y los CCD vean al chip a\u00f1adido como \u00abtransparente\u00bb, es decir, no hay un cambio f\u00edsico para el software ni para el hardware en su modo de funcionamiento entre n\u00facleos y el IOD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lo que ver\u00e1n ser\u00e1 un bloque de cach\u00e9 L3 m\u00e1s, el cual estar\u00e1 fabricado a 7 nm por TSMC y medir\u00e1 la friolera de 6 x 6 mm (36 mm2) conectado directamente a las cach\u00e9s de los CCD mediante TSV. Y aqu\u00ed llega la magia, porque en el caso del 5950X que se mostr\u00f3 en su momento con dicha tecnolog\u00eda hablamos de nada menos que 192 MB de L3 en total por los 64 existentes del modelo original que podemos comprar actualmente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cifras de TSV mareantes, a la altura de Intel<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hardzone.es\/app\/uploads-hardzone.es\/2021\/08\/AMD-cache-3D.jpg\" alt=\"AMD-cach\u00e9-3D\" class=\"wp-image-649299\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Cada CPU tendr\u00e1 m\u00e1s de 2 TB\/s de ancho de banda gracias a esta nueva cach\u00e9 y sus&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/hardzone.es\/reportajes\/que-es\/tsv-vias-silicio-chip-procesador\/\">conexiones TSV<\/a>, las cuales ahora sabemos que se realizan por&nbsp;<strong>Bumps<\/strong>&nbsp;en lo que se denomina como&nbsp;<strong>\u00abFace Down\u00bb<\/strong>, Cada TSV se conecta desde el FEOL de cada CCD hasta la&nbsp;<strong>Bonding Surface<\/strong>&nbsp;mediante&nbsp;<strong>Nails<\/strong>&nbsp;de cobre. Estas est\u00e1n en contacto directo con el&nbsp;<strong>BEOL<\/strong>&nbsp;de esta nueva cach\u00e9, lo que permite el intercambio de informaci\u00f3n de los sustratos y cach\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Para que nos hagamos una idea de la complejidad de todo este apilamiento vertical, se calcula que por cada partici\u00f3n de L3 de 4 MB que tiene un CCD hay&nbsp;<strong>3000 TSV<\/strong>&nbsp;con un tama\u00f1o que las comprende entre los&nbsp;<strong>6.1 ?m y los 17.3 ?m de grosor.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hardzone.es\/app\/uploads-hardzone.es\/2021\/08\/AMD-3D-cache-Vcache.jpg\" alt=\"AMD-3D-cache-Vcache\" class=\"wp-image-649302\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Para cuadrar el c\u00edrculo se dan m\u00e1s datos estratosf\u00e9ricos, ya que en el SMU se calculan&nbsp;<strong>56 TSV y 14<\/strong>&nbsp;m\u00e1s en la denominada \u00e1rea de test.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00bfQu\u00e9 tenemos en total en el nuevo 5950X? Pues la friolera de<strong>&nbsp;24070 TSVs<\/strong>&nbsp;para conectar ambos sustratos, donde como hemos dicho antes el \u00e1rea de la nueva Cach\u00e9 3D de AMD es de solo 36 mm2. Sin duda cifras apabullantes y que van a permitir que AMD golpee a Intel hasta tumbarlo, al menos moment\u00e1neamente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fuente &gt;<\/strong>\u00a0<a
